History of Kanpur ISKCON Temple
The story of ISKCON Kanpur is one of devotion and divine inspiration. Its construction began in the early 2000s, supported by generous contributions from devotees and well-wishers. And it was completed in phases.
The temple was inaugurated in 2014, with the installation of the main deity. Since then, it has emerged as a hub for Krishna devotees, regularly hosting bhajans, kirtans and cultural events.

The main temple is a pristine white structure, which is the primary attraction of the complex. The architecture is a harmonious blend of traditional Hindu temple design and elements of modern architecture. It features grand domes and wide courtyards. Its interiors are equally detailed, with ornate pillars, marble flooring, and murals of scenes from Lord Krishna’s life.
In its sanctum, are beautifully adorned idols of Sri Sri Radha Madhav, alongside Gaura-Nitai and Jagannath-Baladeva-Subhadra. The central hall is expansive, accommodating religious gatherings for kirtans and discourses while maintaining a peaceful ambiance.
